Cone & Thread and FK High-Pressure Essentials

Description

COURSE OVERVIEW

This training course combines two complementary high-pressure installation courses cone and thread and FK high-pressure essentials which have been designed for teams working with systems operating above 1000 bar with liquids or gases. Such systems are commonly used for high-pressure gas storage, with the gas later delivered to equipment or processes at lower pressures. The course equips delegates with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely install, assess, and verify high-pressure tubing systems.

Both modules offer practical, hands-on experience with fitting assembly, component inspection, and recognition of good and poor installation practices.

Delegates observe real-world installation errors, understand why they occur, and learn how to avoid them in their own work and when inspecting systems in the field.

Through guided comparison, participants explore the advantages and limitations of both cone & thread and FK technologies.

Key topics include installation cleanliness, proper tubing preparation, correct tooling, and safe commissioning procedures.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course is ideal for installers, designers, and technicians who work on high-pressure systems or are responsible for signing off installation work, especially when encountering systems with limited prior experience. It equips delegates with the insight to assess installation quality and system readiness before commissioning.

CERTIFICATE

On successful completion of this course attendees receive Global Standard Swagelok Certificate of Completion lasting three years.
